Subastan un usuario de Twitter en Ebay

Andrew Baron, webmaster de RocketBoom (no es demasiado conocida, tiene raking alexa de unos 104.000) y que tiene el usuario de Twitter @andrewbaron , ha decidido poner a subasta su usuario de Twitter en eBay.

He mirado y parece que creó su usuario el día 22 de Abril de 2007. Desde entonces sólo ha puesto 393 tweets hasta el momento de la publicación de éste post, sigue a 1.396 usuarios y le siguen 1.436 usuarios.

Lo que vemos en su Twitter es que interactúa muy poco con otros usuarios, lo cual da la sensación que entonces sigue a tantas personas con el único afán de que le sigan de vuelta.

Y sin embargo, no le está yendo nada mal con la subasta, a fecha de publicación de éste artículo, lleva 24 pujas y 465 dólares es la puja más alta, y eso que vence en 9 días!! Una barbaridad.

En el artículo fuente de ésta noticia (ver abajo el vía), vienen las razones un tanto tontas de Andrew y dice que sería de estúpidos borrar la cuenta, quizá a alguien le venga bien, y no espera sacar más que lo que saque.

No es la primera vez que vemos que se sortean usuarios de sitios sociales (los de Digg por ejemplo), pero no es comparable Digg con Twitter, ya que en Digg se sortean usuarios con mucho Karma y que tienen más potencial que otros de que salgan en portada noticias (con su consecuente tráfico), pero en Twitter, no cuesta prácticamente nada seguir y dejar de seguir usuarios, de hecho si yo le estuviera siguiendo, ya le habría quitado. Pero me temo que a partir de ahora veremos en subastas más cuentas de Twitter.

Actualización 2 (20/04/2008): La subasta fue eliminada por eBay, lo explica más o menos en el Twitter suyo pero no lo entiendo del todo bien, parece como si se lo anularan por estar en una categoría errónea, luego no… quizá no entiendo o quizá no lo explica bien.

Ya hay uno por ahí que intenta vender el suyo, pero tiene un fallo a mi entender (sólo consulto ebay ocasionalmente así que no soy ningún experto): ha puesto una puja demasiado alta, 200 euros, si hubiera puesto mucho menos, quizá ahora habría subido la puja a esa cifra.
Por cierto, la subasta lleva 1550 dólares en 40 pujas, se ha estancado desde ayer, ¿habrá tocado techo la cifra?
